Gah, more snow...

  • Mood: Winter Downs

  • Reading: seed catalogs, and praying for spring
  • Watching: the ^*%*$ snow falling
  • Drinking: coffee
18" more snow today. Highest snowbank on the edge of my driveway is 14', and it's going to get worse.

I'm getting really, really tired of winter. I like winter, I like snow, but this is getting ridiculous. I've probably spent close to 24 hours shoveling off the roof of my house so far this month, and it's only the 14th. This crap kills what little creative drive I've actually been able to muster lately, which is really depressing, since I've got all sorts of things I want to work on, but I've got to go out and shovel this %#(*& snow instead.

If it wasn't for the catastrophic flooding it would cause, I'd be wishing for about 5 days of 65-75 degrees and rain. That would get rid of the snow in a hurry.

Some of the pictures are from Island Pond, more than half are from within 50 miles. This area has a lot to offer a photographer, especially one who doesn't mind going off the beaten path.
